How this is calculated

Potential recovered revenue = missed opportunities × realistic win rate × average fee. First-year net benefit = that revenue, less its delivery costs, plus spending removed, less the project fee and 12 months of running costs. If you choose to include time value, the combined total adds only the share not already counted in revenue or spending savings.

Delivery costs are the variable costs of the extra work. This models an incremental opportunity, rather than the total value of an existing deal or a forecast of what you will win.

The illustration assumes a full year of use and shows the benefit before tax. Include any additional implementation or training costs in the project fee. Time is valued at your annual staff cost per working hour. Including it in a combined total does not turn that time value into cash savings or imply reduced headcount.
